tapestry wisps floating quietly
on a wave of white-matter tiers.
Today, tomorrow, I must enjoy
the comfort of your left hand upon
my face, the solace in your gaze as

<p>I meant to ask you those antique names,<br />

on a wave of white-matter tiers.</p>
<p>Today, tomorrow, I must enjoy<br />

fragile days hemmed wordless, squares on<br />
the quilt of voiceless conversation,<br />
charades of communication that<br />
spend my hours in lament, tied to<br />
your umbilical, grieving the silence<br />
of your vocal chords, librettos unsung.<br />
