Anniverary Wishes
December 6, 2007 on 12:30 pm | In Personal, Photography | 6 CommentsHappy anniversary dear mommy and daddy, together in another realm.
Married December 6, 1941, the day before the attack on Pearl Harbor…I can’t even imagine the glow of being newlyweds, married for one day, and having this tragedy occur.
You both weathered so much throughout your married lives together. But, more importantly, you gave Howard and I a sense of Self, your strength, your love and devotion (not only to each other, but to the two of us), and you both enriched our lives in so many ways. Thank you isn’t adequate enough…but…thank you.
A happy anniversary toast to you both. Cheers!
May love and peace surround you both on this anniversary day…your presence is constantly felt.
Little Pony
November 17, 2007 on 11:08 pm | In General, Personal, Photography | 12 CommentsThere is a little pony, well, actually he is a full grown horse, but is called a pony because of his height. He is a Shetland Pony, also known as Miniature Pony. He is the cutest thing, all shaggy looking with the sweetest face. I love looking at him as I drive by, or when I am on my daily walk.
He lives on a farm about four blocks from my house, and his owners are elderly. I think they originally bought him for their grandchildren. They take such good care of him, and treat him like a family member. It is clear that they adore him.
Veteran’s Day…
November 11, 2007 on 12:01 am | In Personal, Photography | No CommentsVeteran’s Day is a day the U.S. honors its Veterans of the U.S Armed Services. In 1954 it was renamed to Veteran’s Day, in order to honor victims of all wars. It was initially named Armistice Day, a day established to honor Veterans of WWI.
The World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. is a tribute to all the U.S. Armed Forces who served during WWII, and is a tribute to those who served on the home front and our Allied forces.
My Father was a WWII Veteran…this photo was taken Veteran’s Day 2005. You are always missed and loved my dearest daddy.
May your memory be for a loving Blessing. “Yitgadal viyitkadash shmeh rabba…”
May all those who died Rest in Peace. May all those who served and are still living, have peace in their lives. Thank you for serving our country.

My mommy died on Veteran’s Day, 2004. She was a veteran of the years of war with her ailing body…
Be Resting in Peace, Dearest Mommy. Three years later…I miss you so…
The rose bush I planted for you always has a bloom on it…even in winter…you blossom year round in my mind and heart, in the hearts of all our family members who so love you, and in the roots in the earth in front of my home. The symbol of your life comforts and illuminates my hours and days, its scent a strong reminder of your essence and presence.
