Annie Leibovitz at Work, by Annie Leibovitz, is her new book that will be released on November 18th. I have pre-ordered a copy.
I am passionate about photography, and Leibovitz’s book looks to be not only a wonderful book of portraits and photographs, but also an excellent resource on photography-making. According to the publisher, Random House, “The most celebrated photographer of our time discusses portraiture, reportage, fashion photography, lighting, and digital cameras.”
I saw Annie Leibovitz on an interview, earlier this morning. She explained the theory behind Annie Leibovitz at Work, and it looks to be an informative, instructional and educational photography book.

Veterans’ Day Remembrance
November 11, 2008 on 12:54 am | In General | 2 CommentsVeterans’ Day is a day the U.S. honors its Veterans of the U.S Armed Services. In 1954 it was renamed to Veterans’ Day, in order to honor victims of all wars. It was initially named Armistice Day, a day established to honor Veterans of WWI.
Veterans’ Day incorporates the Civil War through the current war in Iraq. Lest not not forget any of our service men and women.
The World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. is a tribute to all the U.S. Armed Forces who served during WWII, and is a tribute to those who served on the home front and our Allied forces.
My Father was a WWII Veteran…this photo was taken Veterans’ Day 2005. You are always missed and loved my dearest daddy.
May your memory be for a loving Blessing. “Yitgadal viyitkadash shmeh rabba…”
May all those who died Rest in Peace. May all those who served and are still living, have peace in their lives. Thank you for serving our country.

My mommy died on Veterans’ Day, 2004. She was a veteran of the years of war with her ailing body…
Be Resting in Peace, Dearest Mommy. four years later…I miss you so…
The rose bush I planted for you always has a bloom on it…even in winter…you blossom year round in my mind and heart, in the hearts of all our family members who so love you, and in the roots in the earth in front of my home. The symbol of your life comforts and illuminates my hours and days, its scent a strong reminder of your essence and presence.
