White and Bright

It snowed Saturday, and the whiteness was so bright looking.

There is a tree in my front yard that still has leaves hanging on, dried and orange looking leaves, rust and red leaves. They looked lovely against the whiteness…demanding to be looked at, shouting, “Here I am, so showy against the whiteness.”

We had about five inches of snow, so there was a large covering, blanketing everything. The snow plows came by mid-morning.

I looked out my window, down the street, and saw my neighbor shoveling his driveway, just before the plows came by.

It was nice to look at while it lasted.

  1. WOW! Snow in “spring” … I barely have seen snow this year and I so wanted to see snow … ah well, there’s always next winter :D
    Hope the tree survives the blanket, though :-)

  2. Hi lorri, lovely sight! Wish we would have some snow but alas, none this year in my district so far…apart from a slight smattering in Dec its just been the usual grey grey grey…with rain of course!

  3. Yes, snow, and almost spring, Rene. I hope the trees survive…and think they will.

    My pansy potted plants are alive and still blooming…so weird.

  4. Yes, Charles, second snowfall in about ten days. But, this particular one…it’s odd to have one so late in the season.
