Sun, Clouds, Birds, Sky

The sun is shining brightly, the sky is deep blue with cotton candy clouds throughout. It’s a February winter day, as far as wind and temperatures, yet the beauty warms the soul.

The garden is dormant, but will soon flourish with blossoms and color, as the days get closer to spring.

The rose bush I planted in honor of my mother has abundant and very tiny reddish-green leaves, that will turn into full-blown leaves eventually. There will be many roses blooming soon. My other rose bushes are faring well through the frigid and cold evenings

The birds are in flight from tree to tree, flitting about, chirping away, their sounds resounding through the trees in their frenzy to take the lead.

Some settled for a while to rest, needing a respite from the restless flying back and forth.

Life is moving forward in the garden of winter, another day closer to spring.
