About

The photographs you journey through are illuminations that I have captured on my travels, whether locally, nationally, or internationally. They were all taken within an emotional environment…what I saw inspired an emotion in me, whether it be from the beauty of the setting, the texture blends, or the tones and lighting.
Several of my photographs will include inspirational quotations, which have been penned my me. A few of my photographs will include a free-verse poem. Some of my images will be processed with two or more photographs that make up the final composition, somewhat like a collage.

I have traveled throughout the U.S. and traveled internationally (England Scotland and Japan), and my camera is always with me, like an appendage. I am a member of a local photography association, and several online photographic art communities.

I use both film and digital cameras in my work, and my images are printed on high quality photograph paper, in glossy or matte finish. My Photographs come in several sizes: 4×6, 8×12, 10×15, 11×14 and 12×18, and I also offer Note Cards.

Writing

I have a Degree in English (emphasis on writing). I am an author of several published poems and inspirational quotations in small literary magazines and publications. I am currently in the process of developing and writing a book. I have facilitated book reviews, and I have reviewed books for Barnes & Noble and amazon.com. My writing has also taken me to instructing a workshop in genealogy.

My Poetry

I have been writing poetry ever since I was a child…on scraps of paper, the back of homework, Or whatever I could get my hands on. I have combined some of my poems with my photography in order to produce inspirational and spiritual illuminations…photographs with a visual and penned message/theme.

I have had my work exhibited in Juried Art Exhibits, and have been awarded trophies and monetary awards for my work. I have entered Photography competitions, and have been awarded First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention for my work, which included both monetary awards and trophies . I have also had my work exhibited in several Photography Exhibits.
